What is your Orbit?
Your connections on Joinue: the people your plans revolve around.
Your Orbit is your people on Joinue. It powers the rest of the app: who can see your Open events, who shows up when you're inviting, and whose plans you hear about.
- Clusters let you group your Orbit (college friends, the league, family) so inviting the right slice takes one tap.
- The Galaxy view maps your Orbit visually, with the people you're closest to in the inner rings.
- Closeness is worked out from what you actually do together, never picked by hand: nights out you shared (a small dinner counts for more than a big show), trips, your recent DMs, small group chats and Spaces you're both in, and, a little, the friends you have in common. Old history fades, so the rings follow who you're seeing now. The innermost ring is your Inner Orbit: the 8 people you do the most with.
- Radar is your private watch list: the people whose flares and Pings reach your phone and whose posts stop slipping past you. See Send a flare when you're around.
The Orbit page has three tabs: People (your roster and the search that reaches everyone on Joinue), Requests (who's asked to connect, and who you've asked), and Radar. What your Orbit is planning, hosting and joining reads in Signals instead, which gathers it alongside everything else you follow.
There's no follower count and no public friend list mechanics. Your Orbit is for making plans, not keeping score.
