Guests & RSVPs settings
Approval, plus-ones, capacity, an RSVP deadline, and whether guests can reply without an account.
Below the invite in the composer, the Guests & RSVPs section holds the choices about who can come and how. All of it is optional, and you can change it later by editing the event.
Who can join
- Require approval: review each request first. Guests who ask see Request sent, and they're in once you approve them.
- Guests can invite: guests who've answered can add people they know. See Invite guests.
- Introduce guests: guests who don't already know each other see each other's first names.
- RSVP without an account: anyone with the link can reply by name, no sign-up. It's off while Require approval is on, since every reply goes through you then.
Capacity and plus-ones
Capacity sets how many spots there are (No limit by default). Under Plus-ones, Each guest can bring sets how many people each guest may add, and guests set theirs with the Bringing guests stepper when they answer. A plus-one takes a spot; hosts don't. When it fills, new replies join a waitlist and move up in order as spots open.
RSVP deadline
RSVP deadline closes replies at a time you choose: Day before, 2 days before, Week before, or any moment you pick. Guests see RSVP by and the date until then, and RSVPs are closed after. Nobody new can say Going or Maybe once it passes, but anyone already in can still switch their answer or drop out.
On an event that repeats, the deadline is measured from each date instead: The day before each date, or A week before each date.
