Profile visibility
Four levels, from anyone to almost no one. You pick, and you can change it anytime.
Your profile has one master dial in Privacy settings:
- Public: anyone can see your profile, including people not signed in.
- Network: your Orbit plus their Orbits (friends of friends).
- Connections: only the people in your Orbit.
- Private: your profile collapses to just your name and handle for everyone else.
On top of the dial, you choose which sections show at all (bio, interests, links, and so on). Sensitive details like your email, phone number, and birth date are never shown on your profile, whatever the setting.
People you share an event, Space, or trip with can see your name and photo on its roster. That's what makes shared plans work, and it never includes your contact info.
If you're under 18, the dial starts on Connections and the two wider settings (Network and Public) aren't offered yet. They turn on by themselves when you turn 18, with nothing to do on your end. If your birth date is wrong, you can correct it once in Login and security.
