Event chat and photos
Every event has its own chat and a shared photo album, with a light review step for guest photos on a public night.
Each event has a chat thread scoped to the guest list, so the conversation lives with the plan instead of a separate group text. It sits in your Talk inbox alongside your other conversations.
The chat also says who's coming and who's made it, as quiet lines between the messages: Sam is going (with their RSVP note, if they left one), Priya is here when she checks in. A run of them folds into one line, like Sam, Jo and 3 others are going. A host's announcements show up there as cards too, with the newest pinned at the top until the event ends.
The Gallery tab is the shared album. Anyone on the guest list can add photos during and after the event, and you can tag the people in them so the night finds everyone who was there.
No photo? Tap Leave a note to sign it like a guestbook, with a few words for the host and the guests. Everyone who can see the gallery can read it. On a memorial, the gallery is a Memory wall and the button reads Share a memory.
Open a photo and swipe up for its own thread, or react to it with one of ten emoji. See Comments and reactions.
Added a photo and can't see it?
On a public event that's already started, a guest's photos wait for the host to have a look before the rest of the room sees them. It's a check on the person, not on every shot: once a host approves one of yours, everything else you add to that night goes straight up.
A host can also close the album entirely with Guests can add photos in the event's settings, in which case the add control isn't there at all.
