Invite guests
Invite from your Orbit, by email or text, or share a link. Guests don't need an account to RSVP.
There are a few ways to fill the guest list, and most events use more than one:
- Invite from Joinue: pick people from your Orbit or a Space. The list is searchable, so big circles are easy. Inviting a Space also drops the event's card into the Space's chat.
- Invite by email: type addresses and each gets an email with the event link. An address that belongs to a Joinue account gets a normal in-app invite instead.
- Text an invite: type phone numbers and each gets one text with the event link, straight from Joinue. US and Canadian numbers only. A number that belongs to a Joinue account gets a normal in-app invite instead.
- Share the link: every event has a share link you can text, email, or post anywhere. Anyone who opens it can RSVP from their browser, no account or download needed.
Right after you create an event, Invite guests opens on its own. If you're not connected with anyone yet, the share link leads it, with email and text below.
Checked a few people and stepped away to look something up? The sheet keeps who you picked (and any addresses you typed) until you send, even if you close it or leave the page.
When you share the event, the line under Share this event says what the link lets people do right now: view it and RSVP, request to join when you approve each guest, join the waitlist when it's full, or just view it once RSVPs are closed, the event is over, or it's cancelled.
Link guests can leave an email address or phone number when they RSVP, so they still get the updates that matter: cancellations, time changes, and a reminder the day before.
Somebody you email or text who isn't on Joinue yet keeps the invite. If they sign up with that address or number, it's waiting in their account.
Want guests to bring people? Switch on Guests can invite in the event settings and anyone who's going or maybe (or a member of the hosting Space) can add their own people from their Orbit, up to a per-person cap. Being invited isn't enough on its own; they have to have answered. Email, text, thread, and Space invites stay with the hosts.
