Your calendar
Calendar is the one place for everything with a date: the events you're hosting or going to, your trips, invitations you haven't answered, events you said Maybe to, the shows and Regular nights you marked Interested, your Spaces' standing slots, open events and trips people in your Orbit are running, the leading date of each plan you're still aligning, and your connections' birthdays (for the ones who share them). Anything you haven't decided yet can be answered right there, and a line under it tells you when it overlaps something you already hold. The Show control hides the layers you don't want to see, one by one: Invitations, Maybes, Interested, Regulars, From your Orbit, Aligning, and Birthdays. Your own events and trips have no switch, because they always show. Events and Trips each keep a calendar icon in their header as the way in.
What the shading means
Anything you're committed to, an event you're hosting or going to and a trip you're on, draws solid. An invitation you haven't answered, or an event you said Maybe to, is outlined: it's on the day, but it isn't a promise yet. Open events and trips from your Orbit, and the leading date of a plan you're still aligning (the plans themselves are on the Planning tab), sit quietly behind those, so a full week still reads at a glance.
When two things overlap
If an invitation, a Maybe or an open event from your Orbit lands on top of something you already hold, a line under it says so: "Overlaps with Trivia Night," or "During Vegas" for a trip. It shows on the calendar, on the invitation cards, and on the event's own page. It never stops you from saying yes to both; it just makes sure you know.
Answer from the calendar
Open a day, on your phone by tapping it in the week strip at the top, on a computer by clicking it in the month grid, and answer any invitation right there with the rest of the day in view. A free day offers to start an event on that date or browse your Metro Pulse for that day.
Add one event to your calendar
On an event, tap Add to calendar. On a computer you can pick Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Microsoft 365 (work / school), or Apple Calendar, or download the .ics file for anything else. In the app, Add to phone calendar comes first and hands the event to your phone's own calendar. Google and Outlook open in a browser, so you need to be signed in there.
On an event that runs several days, its card on Home and in your events list shows just the days you picked, and Add to calendar carries just those days.
Subscribe to your whole schedule
Tap Subscribe at the bottom of your calendar to add your Joinue schedule (the events and trips you're committed to) to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. It's a live feed, so a changed RSVP or a new event shows up on your calendar's next refresh. That refresh runs on your calendar app's own schedule, so it can take a few hours.
