Event updates and reminders

When a host changes the time or the place, or cancels, everyone on the guest list is notified. Smaller edits, like the description or the cover, don't send anything. Members get it in-app (and by push, email, or text, depending on their notification settings). Link guests who left a phone number get a text; those who left an email get it by email.

Hosts can also send an announcement as a text blast, for the day-of logistics that can't wait (a gate code, a room change). Blasts are capped at three per event, and replying STOP always opts you out.

If you said Going or Maybe, a host's announcements also land in your Signals, so they're still there after the notification is gone. You can mute one event's announcements there without changing your RSVP.

Announcements also show in the event's chat, and once you've said Going or Maybe you can react to one or reply under it, like asking whether the address changed too. If somebody answers you, you're told. See Post an announcement.

If you said Going or Maybe, you also get a reminder a day out and another an hour out, so nothing sneaks up on you.

On an event that runs several days, each day reminds its own people, at that day's time. Answer for the Saturday and you hear about the Saturday.
