Set where Explore looks
Explore showing the wrong city? Set your home base and how far to reach in Location settings.
If Explore is centered on the wrong place, or reaching too far or not far enough, it's two settings in Location.
Your home base
Set your city and Joinue can surface what's near you, and fill the place in faster when you host. You can search for it or use your current location. It's your city, not your address.
Where Explore starts
- My city: start from your saved home base. Works without location access at all.
- Current location: start from where you actually are, once you've allowed location access. This is the one that follows you when you travel.
- A place I pick: start from somewhere you search for, each time you explore. Good for scouting a city before you go.
Under that, the default search radius sets how far out Explore reaches. The map can change it on the fly too, and the radius you land on sticks for next time.
Searching for a place
Search looks for places and events in the metro you're viewing first, and says which one under the results. Looking for somewhere in another city? Tap Search all metros to run the same search everywhere. If nothing in your metro matches, it shows other metros on its own.
