Muting, blocking, and reporting

Muting

Muting is the quiet option, for when someone is a lot rather than a problem. Mute them from their menu anywhere in the app and their activity stops reaching you: you don't see it, and you get no notifications about them.

Nothing else changes. You stay connected, they can still see you and message you, and they're never told. Review or lift every mute in one place under Muted accounts.

Blocking

You can block any user from their profile. Blocking cuts contact both ways: no messages, no invites, no showing up in each other's discovery. Blocked accounts lists everyone you've blocked, and unblocks them.

A direct message with someone you blocked stays readable but can't be written in: it says You blocked them, with Unblock to message if you change your mind. Unblocking doesn't reconnect you, so the thread then offers Connect.

Some rooms you can both stay in: an event, trip, or Space, with its chat and its photos. There, you stop seeing the messages and photos of the person you blocked, and their messages stop showing in your Talk inbox previews. They still see yours, so nothing in the room vanishes on them and tells them they were blocked.

Reporting

You can also report any user or piece of content (profiles, events, posts, photos, messages) from the item itself. Reports come straight to Joinue, and a real person reviews each one within 24 hours. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.
