Post an announcement
The organizer's noticeboard: the must-see updates that aren't a change to the event itself.
Changing the time or the place tells everyone by itself. An announcement is for everything else: where to park, the gate code, which door, bring a jacket. It sits on the event as a board rather than a feed, so the newest one reads in full and the older ones sit under it as single lines you can open.
Post one with Post an update in the Announcements section on the event, or from the event's chat: tap the plus beside the message box and pick Announcement. You can edit a post in place afterward, which fixes it without telling anybody twice (it's marked Edited), and remove one that's no longer true.
Your guests hear about it, and anyone who said Going or Maybe also gets it in their Signals, so it's still findable after the notification is gone. For the one that genuinely can't wait, an announcement can also go out as a text blast (Text it to your guests), capped at three per event.
In the chat
Every announcement also shows up in the event's chat as a card, and the newest one sits in the banner at the top of the chat until the event ends. Nobody on the night has to scroll back to find the gate code.
Replies and reactions
Tap an announcement to open it. Anyone it was sent to (guests who said Going or Maybe, or are on the waitlist) can react and reply under it, so "does the address change too?" gets answered where everyone can see it. Your replies carry a Host badge, and the person you answer is told. Hosts can pin a reply or take one down.
