List your shows and weekly nights
Performers: post one-off shows, propose a weekly night at a venue, and handle the bookings that come in.
Once you've claimed your performer page, you post your calendar from Backstage.
One-off shows
Add a show with its date and time. Point it at a venue on Joinue and it goes over as a booking request the venue confirms. Give a free-text spot instead and it's posted right away.
A show you posted stays yours to edit while it's waiting. Once the venue confirms it, it becomes the venue's date and your remaining lever is Can't make it. Changing which venue it's at isn't an edit either way: pull the date and propose the new one.
When a venue books you
It works the other way too. A venue putting you on a bill lands in Invites to answer in your Backstage, where you accept or decline. The two sides are named apart on purpose: Bookings to confirm is what a venue owes an answer on, Invites to answer is what you do. Neither side can answer its own ask.
Dates a venue put you on show as Booked. The venue runs those, and your lever there is Can't make it.
When a metro-scale happening is on (a gem show, a festival week, a bowl game), the listing form offers a Marquee field so you can say your night is part of it. Explore then carries a banner for the whole thing with the tagged shows under it, which is how an afterparty gets found by people who came for the main event. The field hides itself the rest of the year.
Weekly nights
Pitch a standing night at a venue: pick the day, start time, and kind (live music, DJ, trivia, karaoke, and so on), and choose the venue. A weekly night runs at a venue, so they confirm it. Once they do, it runs as a Regular on both your page and theirs.
Bookings, your team, and Insights
- Booking requests people send you land in your page inbox, where you accept, decline, or work out the details in the thread.
- Invite co-managers (a manager, agent, or bandmates) to help run the page. They aren't shown publicly, and only you can add or remove them.
- Add your Members, the lineup shown on your page, and choose who can post to the feed.
- Insights tracks your views, visitors, followers, and booking requests over the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
