Let guests pick the date
Not sure when yet? Put a few dates to a vote from the composer, and the votes become RSVPs once you pick.
- 1Start a new event and, under When, tap Let guests pick instead of choosing a date.
- 2Choose A few options (specific days and times) or A range (a spread of days and times). A vote needs at least two options.
- 3Tap Share for a vote. Your event is saved as a draft and the vote opens, with a link for you to send. Voting closes in three days unless you change that on the vote.
- 4When the answers are in, pick the winner on the vote. The event is published on that date.
Votes become RSVPs. Whoever said they can go on the winning date is Going, a Maybe stays a Maybe, and a Can't is a Can't go. Everyone hears once, worded for how they voted.
While the vote is open, the draft sits on the Drafts shelf on Events showing how many have answered, and the composer's button reads Pick from the vote. Once the date is picked, the shelf says Date picked. Discarding the draft cancels the vote.
The vote follows your RSVP settings. If the event needs approval, or doesn't take RSVPs without an account, people have to sign in to vote on it.
