Closing, hiding, or leaving a plan

The menu on a plan (the … in its header) holds four ways to be done with it, ordered from the one that affects nobody else to the one that affects everybody. They are not interchangeable, so it's worth knowing which is which.

Hide from my list

Yours alone. The poll carries on, your answers stay counted, and the row just moves to Archived at the bottom of your own Align page. Nobody is told, and nothing anyone else sees moves. This is the one to reach for when you only want a tidier page, which is why it asks nothing before doing it.

Leave this plan

For anyone who isn't the organizer. Leaving takes your availability back out, so a slot that was leading on four yeses now leads on three. That lands on other people, so it confirms first and says so. If you only wanted it off your page, Hide is the cheaper move and it's in the same menu.

Organizers can't leave. A poll with nobody to make the final call could never be decided, so the organizer gets Close instead.

Close plan

The organizer's version. Closing stops the plan taking responses and drops it off everyone's list, not just yours. Nothing is destroyed: it moves to Archived on your Align page, and you can reopen it from there if the plan comes back on.

Delete

Permanent, organizer only, and it takes everyone's votes with it. There's no undo and nothing lands in Archived. If people have already answered, close it instead.

The Archived shelf

Anything you've hidden or closed sits at the bottom of your Align page under Archived, with one control on each row: Unhide puts a hidden plan back on your list, and Reopen restarts a closed one for everybody. The shelf only appears when it's holding something.
