Invited to something that repeats

Some events run again and again: the Sunday roast, the every-other-week game night. When you're invited to one, the badge on it says so and how long the run is, like "Repeats every 2 weeks, 12 dates".

Each date is its own event with its own guest list and its own answer, so saying yes to one commits you to that one and nothing else. Being invited once does put you on the list for the rest of the run, so the dates after it arrive as their own invitations rather than the host having to remember you every time.

Stepping off the run

Not a standing thing for you? On any date in the series, choose Stop inviting me to future dates. The date in front of you stays on your invitations and you can still answer it; it's only what comes after that stops. The host can invite you again later if that changes.
