Join a trip, and who can do what

Coming aboard

There are a few ways to join a trip: accept an invite (going, maybe, or decline), open a share link, or, for open trips, hop in yourself if you're connected to the organizer. No account? You can still RSVP to a shared trip with your name, so the crew knows to count you. Invited by email and not on Joinue yet? Sign up with that address and the invitation is waiting in your account.

Organizers and members

• Organizers (the creator and any co-organizers) run the trip: they edit the itinerary, confirm stays, promote ideas, invite people, and manage the crew.
• Members build it out alongside them: add and split their own expenses, vote on stays, pitch ideas, claim items off the lists, tag photos, and check off to-dos.
• Guests without an account are counted on the crew, and the rest of the crew can still put them in a split, give them a bed, or add them to a stop. They answer through their link and don't use the trip's chat or lists themselves.

Turning one trip down

A busy trip carries its own notification level, set from the trip's menu: all activity, highlights only, or muted. It's private to you and changes nothing about your place on the crew. See Quiet one trip, Space, or conversation.
