Who can see your event
Every event has a reach: Public, Network, Orbit only, or Private. You choose per event, and separately who sees the guest list.
In the composer, open Visibility under Guests & RSVPs and pick one:
- Public: anyone on Joinue in your city can find and join it, on Explore and in the metro feed. Someone without an account who comes across its page sees what it is, when, and the city, but not an address you typed in, your location notes or photo. Your share link is different: whoever you send it to gets the details (or the area, until they reply, if you're hiding the address until people RSVP). A venue's address shows to everyone.
- Network: your Orbit and their connections can find and join it.
- Orbit only: people in your Orbit can find and join it.
- Private: invite only. Only people you invite (or who have the link you share) can see it.
You can change the reach later by editing the event. Chat and photos always stay within the event, whatever its reach.
Who can see the guest list
Who's coming is its own choice, under Who can see the guest list:
- Automatic: follows who can see the event. A public event shows the list to everyone; any other event shows it to guests only.
- Everyone: everyone who can see the event sees who's coming.
- Guests only: guests see the list. Others see only the count.
- Hosts only: only hosts see the list. Others see the count.
An event hosted by a Space asks a different question, because every active member already sees it whatever you pick. It offers Members of the Space, Anyone, and, on a Space that already has a public face (one that's Open or Public, or that allows followers), Anyone orbiting a member. The ordinary middle rungs aren't offered: they'd reach the individual host's own friends of friends, which isn't what a club means by a bit more open. The starting pick follows the Space's own privacy, and you can move it either way.
